Wow, wonderful stopped down.
Agreed. People always want to talk about shooting these lenses at f/0.95 or 1.4, and I get that, however it's absolutely insane how sharp the Nokton lenses are when stopped down. They are hands down the sharpest lenses I own when shooting at f/4 or 5.6

Agreed, shooting stopped down with reduced exposure compensation highlighting contrast on a bright day really highlights the quality of a lens such as a Nokton, more than just some bokeh shot imo. Practically, I really don't see any difference between the Nokton and Zeiss lenses (I think they're made in the same factory anyway aren't they?).

Finally a full body shot showing the capabilities usually only found with full frame!
That's one of the reasons I got this lens. It can generate that shallow DoF for a 35mm FoV lens that you just don't get with any other native m43 lenses.

Originally, I thought that this lens was just soft wide open (and it is a bit soft wide open, but it's an f/0.95 so what do you expect?), but I think the "issue" is more just how narrow the DoF is. Even with a 35mm FoV, the DoF is incredibly thin, but when you nail focus you definitely know it.

I really missed this lens when I sold it. Had to buy another one!

Some casual shots from a brunch this morning with cousins, grandparents:
