Since there aren't many (I certainly have only seen one) pictures of the lens on m4/3 cameras, I've shot a few images of the Voigtlander 25mm f0.95 on various m4/3 cameras which I happen to have here at the moment. (Don't ask!!) Since I don't have Peter and Mikes more atmospheric locations, (just a very wet Worcestershire) I'm waiting for some decent weather to post some shots taken with the lens.

Few quick thoughts-
Its actually really easy to use (I used it on a GH1)
The close focus is wonderful.
Boy is it sharp!

Enjoy!

I had been saving up for the Pana-Leica 45mm...

Now I would really, really like to try one of these out.

(breathe, keep wallet closed, rationalise...)

Adapter required?

I read that this lens is m/43 friendly. Does it need an adapter for an E-P2? If so which?? Does anyone know of a China stockist for Voigtlander??? I did see Hong Kong mentioned, and I'm in Guangzhou very soon, which is a short bus ride away. Of course a GZ stockist would be better if anyone knows of one there.

No adapter required it has a m4/3 mount.

I like the balance, but then I like slightly heavier lenses anyway. I use a lot of M-Mount lenses on m4/3 so I'm used to that kind of weight.

I was amazed as to how easy it is to focus - an EVF is best for this, I'm not sure I'd want to focus at f0.95 on a screen. Even at f5.6 & f8 you can still see the lens go in and out of focus quite easily.

I am waiting also for results of this Nokton on NEX bodies. Adapter is already on eBay.
Looks that only small vignetting can be expected. Than we have ~37mm (@35mm).

Even if lens would use subpart of NEX sensor (crop) - that would be also interesting to compare it with u43 sensor.

I was wondering about this as well.

That lens is decidedly "Retro" with engraved markings paint filled (just how they were yesteryear and Very !! durable) :2thumbs:not like the new plastic fantastic's with screen printing that wears off) :frown:

looks best on the E-P2 :2thumbs:

Does it display the typical purple fringing that's evident with the other fast lenses from CV, when used wide open?

Cheers

A must-have lens

A beautiful lens.

It should produce wonderful bokeh.

Man, I am indeed tempted. But I think I would buy the Nikon 50mm 1.2 before I went for the CV.
