    Not sure what Pany will do next, but this has got to be te fastest wide angle lens ever made, that I know of!

    I know what you mean though. We got lucky when the 25 Nokton came out because then we got the PL25, hopefully history will repeat itself ...

    Do you think just the lens weighs 4lbs?
    Maybe that includes the packaging.

    Given how heavy the smaller 25mm I wouldn't be surprised if it was pushing 4. These lenses are as heavy if not heavier than the cameras.

    My 40 f1.4 is .39 lbs whiich is about 6.25 oz
    I looked it up.:smile:

    Yes, the 25mm is 410g - 14.46oz
    The 17.5mm is 540g - 19.05oz

    actually i think Olympus should step up their (relatively) mediocre 17mm pancake and come out with an update for that (faster than 2.8 please!)

    lol it seemed so heavy..maybe an illusion due to the density of its construction. Or how light every other m43 lens is.:smile:

    How about a 17.5mm f/2 Summicron? It should cost no more than the 25mm f/1.4.
