Voigtlander 12/5.6 & 15/4.5

anyone use these 2 lenses on M4/3? (doesnt matter if it's LTM or M)

can you please post uncropped samples from GF1/E-P1/E-P2?

I had a 15/4.5 M but the smearing was far more than just edge/corner, and I'm brave enough to want to try a 12/5.6 LTM (M is not released yet), but not sure if it will have same or even worse results since it's wider than the 15.

I will post my samples from the 15 tonight.

I love my 15...... (infosecgeek on FM).. Absolutely no smearing... The 12 requires 2 adapters and 5.6 would be suppppppppeeeeeer slow

I'd shoot landscape/architecture only with the 12/5.6, ISO800 is fairly acceptable on my E-P1, so it should be alright handheld during the day.

Of course that seems only perfect in my head...

The 12mm is an amazing lens. Very sharp and does very well on m4/3. I checked it against the 15mm and the 7-14mm zoom. But since the 12mm loses its superwide angle due to the crop factor, a sharp '24mm' remains. Not enough if you want a superwide.
So I only kept the zoom.

I have a the voigtlander 12mm I just got my 4/3 adapter yesterday so I'm itching to try it. I have the lens with me today so I'll should be able to take some photos with my GF1 this afternoon.

I just tried it but I got an error with the lens. I assume it's the voightlander unless I have to change some setting in camera to use the adapter. Will continue to investigate.

The only thing you need to do in camera is set it to "shoot without lens".

I really like my 15mm and would think about getting the 12mm if one appeared at the right price (that is, about half what they currently go for!).

i dont see the degree of smearing you speak of with my 15mm 4.5 ltm , but i hear the 12 is simply one the finest lenses voigtlander makes build quality is said to be in a class of its own too

Now that I'm looking on my desktop, yes the center appears to be sharper, however what Aperture were these??? This is f/5.6

i think all of mine are f/4.5, i've done a test and it doesnt get any better until f/11

your shot's left edge looks worse than right edge

Both taken on Panasonic GF1 with 15mm f4.5 Voigtlander at f11. There is evidence of some fine black banding in one corner at high magnification in my image editor (Bibble pro 5). I have not yet printed the pictures to see if that is evident in the print. Apart from a little post processing (colour temperature, raising the shadow values and a small amount of sharpening) there has been no manipulation and the shots are uncropped.
