I've had the Cosina Voigtlander 25 mm 0.95 and the Wesley 24 mm 1.4 c-mount lens for a while. Just for fun, I took a couple of pics with a tripod from the same spot of the same subjects to compare the lenses. The shutter speed was 1/20. Focus was on the "C" of "Cola" on the bottle to the right. The first one is the Wesley wide open and the other is the CV at f2.5. The reason for the different apertures is that based on earlier shots I've taken with the Wesley I wouldn't really treat it as 1.4 when wide open; more like f2 or f2,5 when compared to m4/3 lenses. This is not a scientific test. The question was more like: what aperture on the CV will give me the same shutter speed as the Wesley wide open? The Wesley is not bad for what it is, a little 40-50 buck lens. It also doesn't have the restless bokeh of some other c-mount lenses. Yes, I find it sharper too, and with more of a 3D factor. The CV is stopped down, though, while the Wes is wide open. Probably should do a test with both stopped down a bit.
