I bought a Vivitar 28mm f2.8 in an antique shop for $25. Maybe $50 is max price for the 24mm.

Well, that depends. The Close Focus varieties can fetch two or three times as much. At least they will in K-mount, since they are prized over in the Pentax community.

Excellent lenses. I have a few in 24mm and 28mm.

Thanks for the reply, i have seen some with 'mc' on the lens, what does this mean and would it effect the price?

The Vivitar f2.0 24mm is a very special lens, as opposed to the more-ordinary f2.8 24mm, or pedestrian f2.8 28mm. It will fetch $125 to $175 on eBay, and probably worth it.

MC just means multicoated; every 24/2 Vivitar I've seen has this, but I haven't done a scientific survey!

It makes a nice fast normal for M4/3, especially nice if you are shooting video in addition to photos. The manual focusing is just so smooooth.
