Vintage motorcross racing with my G5 and GX1

    Popped along to a local track that was holding a Vintage Motorcross meeting today. The last race there was back in 1985. Bikes were pre 1990 and bike/sidecars were pre 1984.
    Was my first experience using the adapted Nikon 50mm/f1.8 lens on the G5 and GX1. Using manual focus/aperture and shutter speed made it all a bit more rewarding. Im pleased with the results, considering!
    Bottom 4 were taken using the 100-300.

    I just picked up a 50mm 1.4 manual nikkor and I can appreciate the difficulty in getting those first 3 shots, amazing results.

    That looked like a lot of fun. Sidecars are great.
    I love the mud on the car on the right in no. 5.

    It's nice that you highlighted the G5/GX1 too. :biggrin:
