Viltrox NF-M1 for Nikon F AF lenses

Wow this is rather interesting. I am following. Viltrox has been on a roll of late!
I am curious though. The webpage says it supports AF lenses (but not AF-D - I think they missed it). Both screw-driver type AF lenses which are only supported by Nikon's medium to higher end bodies if you need AF. Not even the FTZ adapter can drive AF motors on those lenses. How did they pull that off?
A clever micro-USB port right on the body, eliminating the need for a separate adapter to update firmware. Nice touch that one!

Someone on Reddit whom I was talking to got the adapter delivered.

Their report:

AF-D lenses don't work, as expected. The D type lenses show error on the camera. There's no screw driver to power the AF type motor. Performance, at least with old Sigma F mount EX type lenses was good. Didn't see any difference between native and adapter performance.
