Video Quality GM1 vs GM5

    I don't need the viewfinder so I am leaning to the GM1 as it is a bit cheaper. Is there a big difference in video quality between the two that I should consider the GM5 instead? I usually shot casual short video clips at family outings..

    Probably not for what you're doing.

    The GM5 has 28Mbps 1080p 50p/60p which you can slow down for 1/2 speed slow motion, or 25p/30p at 20Mbps (plus 24Mbps in AVCHD with 24p support).

    The GM1 is limited to 25p/30p 17Mbps (plus 24Mbps in AVCHD with 24p support), so no slow motion (unless you hack it with interlaced) and a slightly lower bit rate codec.

    I hate working with AVCHD for casual stuff btw...
