    Hi all,

in regards to taking video with my EPM1, why is it whenever I record video, it seems to take an increased zoom level vs. taking stills? I'm using the Panasonic 25mm lens and it's also having the same behavior with the lens kit.

are you sure its just not the fact that the video is wide screen e.g. 16:9 ratio as opposed to 4:3. This will crop the top and bottom of the image

The increase is minimal, this is due to the IBIS system in the movie mode.

The 16:9 causes a crop from the native sensor aspect ratio If you have IBIS on it takes on a slight crop. But regardless of that, when you hit record it crops more still! Only a small amount. Turn off ibis

If I recall my canon t3i also cropped when u hit record

You might be correct on this. I'll have to change the aspect ratio to see if it really does increase the zoom on the LCD or not.
