just saw the reimbursed vf4 on sale in the olympus sight for 99usd which seems like a rediculous deal!

however i remember reading somewhere that the newer viewfinders may not be full functional on older models like the epm1. so am i safe buying this for my epm1, will i lose any functionality if ever, or am i just better off skipping of this deal?

It'll work just fine. The only functionality I think you'll lose is the eye sensor which works with the E-P5 and I believe the E-PL7.

Thats only because the pm1 is 12mp vs 16mp as in the pm2 - well at least as I'm aware. I saw the difference when I had the pm2, but the vf4 was still a nice upgrade from the vf2. Note that I only shoot with mf glass, so rely on the evf a fair bit.
