I see Leica D lens being offered by B&H for only $1500.00. Their listing says for Micro 4/3 and 4/3, so I am assuming it will fit a G3.

Any reviews on this beast? Seems pretty much in line price wise for Leica's offerings.

The lens is manufactured by Panasonic in Japan, so judge the price accordingly (it is not handmade in Germany by Leica as their M lenses are).

It is a 4/3 lens. You will need an adapter to use on your G3 (either the MMF-2 or the DMW-MA1).

Photozone has a good review of the lens: Leica D Vario-Elmar 14-150mm f/3.5-5.6 Asph. OIS - Review / Test Report

Basically, it's the sharpest 28-300mm eq. zoom available. So far as using it on a micro 4/3 body is concerned, it is a fair bit larger than the Panasonic 14-140 and doesn't focus quite as fast. As with the Panasonic Leica D 25mm f/1.4 for 4/3, it is likely longer in production, so once the current stock is exhausted, you probably won't be able to find it new.
