We had to take Lizzie to the Vet this morning. Unstable on her hind legs, and walking in circles. The Vet thought she had probably had a minor stroke.

The Vet agreed that it was her time.

Vale, our beautiful girl.
Twenty one years, six months and ten days old.

She will return to our Mother, the Earth, in our back yard.

In her prime:

Sympathy and condolences from a long way away, John. It is never easy when small friends depart, especially when it's you that has to make the decision.
Thank you very much, Roddy. It is very much appreciated.

She was a much loved little cat, who had a long and good life. Her sister seems to be coping OK so far.

She gave us much joy during her life.

Sorry for your loss.
It is heart breaking when we loose our belovered pets as they are part of the family so to speak these days

She had a lovely long life, so you must have provided a nurturing home for her
Thank you for your kind thoughts and words. We are still more than a little numb this morning. We have had Lizzie and Rosa for just over half our married life ...

Very sorry for your loss. It is always difficult to say goodbye to our small friends.
Thank you. For such small creatures, they occupy a big space in our lives.
That stinks John, I’m so sorry to hear this. But wow...what a long life!
Thanks, Chris. They have both had a good innings. Rosa has a little dementia, and can't jump like she used to, but no sign of blindness or other problems. Her balance isn't what it used to be, but neither is mine!

Lizzie was completely blind, and had some dementia. She wasn't very steady anyway. We have had to help her a lot with most things for the last 6-12 months. Things we were more than happy to do. She was very precious.
@John King
Deepest condolences to you and your family. I know how badly we feel about the recent loss of our guy.
Thank you, and condolences on your loss.

Thank you to all who have noted her passing. They leave a big hole, for such little creatures. At least we can perform this last act of love for our precious companions, much as it hurts for us.

Rosa is obviously a little discombobulated, but is not obviously distressed. We thought she might have been distressed, as they were litter mates, and they were very close to one another.

Thanks again, everyone.
