I recently purchased the FL-600R flash and have begun using it with my OM-D. I am trying to learn how to use it "off-camera" in RC mode. In the RC menu, I can set various elements of remote control TTL. One of the choices is Level with Lo, Mid, and Hi as alternatives. I understand that this affects the intensity of the "light communication" from the on-camera trigger flash to the remote, off-camera flash (Fl-600R). I have Level set at Lo, and it seems to be working fine. I have mostly been using it indoors with the remote flash no more than 8 feet from the camera.

My question is under what circumstances should Level be set to Mid or Hi. It would seem that increasing the intensity of the "light communication" might be needed if the remote flash is located further from the camera or if using it outdoors in bright light. Or am I barking up the wrong tree?
