USB Mode: MTP users?

So for my E-P3, the USB Mode is set to ask every time by default. I know that for firmware updates, the camera needs to be in Storage mode. But for regular photo transfers, does anyone here use MTP mode? I'm on a Mac, and will mostly be importing to Aperture. One of my peeves with Storage mode is that the name of the drive is NO_NAME which is a bit lame. Anyone here with experience with these two modes on a Mac?

P.S. It's also lame that the "Auto" mode does nothing automatically! It should be called "Ask" mode.
