Oh wow, these are much cooler than the pics I got from way too far away. What lens did you use? Based on the bridge angle and how little air was between you and the planes, I assume you were close to the center of the airshow when you took these?

Oh wow, these are much cooler than the pics I got from way too far away. What lens did you use? Based on the bridge angle and how little air was between you and the planes, I assume you were close to the center of the airshow when you took these?
I was at Fort Mason by the water...Last year I was up higher and I think it was a better spot.
I was using the M.ZD 300mm F4 Pro IS

Cool, last year I happened to be in the city during one of the airshow days, and I noticed that you can (theoretically) get some interesting shots looking up a steep hill at the planes, which makes their apparent altitude lower and distance closer. I don't know how you can time that correctly though without some helpers spotting for you.

Yeh they go by too fast
