Saw this all the way in the PHX metro area of Arizona. It was quite the sight, and passed before I could get my phone out of my pocket since it was low on the horizon.

Our Photo Club theme for this month was Threatening Skies... so I took a look at a few of the photos in my growing cloud collection and came up with this one from just a few months ago. The original RAW was ominous on its own but I did a wee bit of Highlights/Shadows tweaking in Exposure X3 then took it out to SilverEfex for some work... thought the bluish tint was effective and in fact made the sky even more threatening... and because of the blue tint I called it Blue Devils Awakening.

It wasn't until I posted it for our photo club that I noticed not one but two figures (Blue Devils) in the sky. Top left, looking down on a 45º angle... and directly in line with it's gaze is an even spookier face, looking up at the other Blue Devil. I have photos shot within minutes of this and at this point if I were to turn 180º it was almost a perfectly blue sky!

I'm happy to say that I don't see any Devils in your photo, blue or otherwise!

From a couple of years ago in Sweden. Got up early in the morning when I heard the rain to get the laundry in and was awestruck when I looked up. I've never seen clouds like this.

I do a lot of night time lapse. Sometimes, stuff like comets, fire balls show up in the time lapse. Testing the GX85 (12-35 at 12mm) time lapse in a dark night area at Vermilion Cliffs. It does about 2 hours 20 min on one full charge.
