Hey guys, while I do have dedicated macro lenses, I wanted to try something a bit extreme and mount a Sigma 170-500 with stacked extension tubes for distant macro shooting with a Panasonic GM1 IMG_2094.JPG P1000187. P1000188. P1000195. P1000203. P1000216. P1000231. P1000264. P1000302. P1000318. .....I got interesting results!
Most of these were shot at around 6 or 7 feet away- the insects weren't spooked and it was fun!

Neat! You should cross-post that image of the camera and the lens in the "Show your adapted lens" thread.

I wanna see what happens when you attach the tripod to the bottom of the GM1 :D

You don't- you use lenses with tripod collars.

Do you get to sit in a lawn chair instead of contorting yourself too? That could be a real perk :)

Those are very, very nice. Interesting take on macro, as well. :)

No lawn chair- was just walking around....but that sounds like a good idea!
