I was going to stick this in the 'What have you been listening too?' thread but I thought I was really well worth having it seperate.

It is called 'Christmas Food Court Flash Mob- Hallelujah Chorus. It was performed on the 13 of November and It has already had 1.6 million views on youtube. I have just watched it and It has made my day- incredible.

There are a number of these "choral flash mobs" on Youtube. I would love to see one live and in person someday.

More reasons you need video on cameras nowadays.

My favorite was the one at Macy's in Philadelphia as part of the Opera Company of Philadelphia's "Random Act of Culture" series. Plus you get to hear and see the famous 6 rank (!!!) Wanamaker Organ.

And for something completely different, I would have loved to have been here with my GF1 at the Central Railway Station in Antwerp, Belgium. You figure that basically shut down the station for the duration.

I'm not religious but thought it was absolutely beautiful.
Thank you for posting this, Iconindustries.

Sorry mate if you didn't like it. I guess everyone has different tastes. I love any music from classical right through to metal so I enjoy listening to anything. The reason I posted this was because for me personally it made me smile and feel happy. I would love to have been there- just imagine if you were having a rough time and all of a sudden people all around you started singing, it would certainly lighten you up.

Thanks Narnian for the other videos. The Hallelujah at Macy's would have been so awesome to hear live. I liked the idea of the conductor bloke up top in the corner because it gets the singers to look up.
The one at the station is a classic. Love the looks on some of the faces of the travellers.

Taphappy, I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Grant, sounds like you'll havta set a chorus up. I'll video it with my GF1.
Do you reckon in the video I posted the girl with the mobile phone is using that as her cue. She appears to be the lead singer.

Wonderful! They just don't make 'em like these anymore (the songs, I mean).

Or... you could have stopped maybe at the 10-second or so mark, and saved 4:47 of your life.
