unknown Maikar lens 75mm f 1.9 pre soligor ?

    recently got this lens reminds me of a soligor 75/3" f 1.9 lens but has the markings of Maikar made in Japan...strange

    It looks like a cine lens.

    What is the diameter of the mount threads. If 1" then it's a C-mount lens and almost certainly designed for 16mm. If it's 0.625" (5/8") then it's a D-mount lens designed for 8mm.

    C-mount lenses can be adapted with some success to m43. D-mount lenses, on the other hand, can't except for special macro use. Their flange distance is too short and their coverage is way too small.

    it's a cine C mount lens....same casting and machining as the Soligor and letter stamping but the company Maikar made in Japan , i can't seem to find a link unless it is some elaborate copy ..thanks dwig
