Unipal 2 charger and em1

I am away camping and only to realise the Unipal 2 universal charger does not charge an EM1 battery. The red light flashes or is half green, but the battery remains flat. A real pain.

I am using the cigarette lighter car charger. It charges my phone fine though with the usb extender.

Any thoughts?

Get a cheap car lighter -> mains inverter and use the original charger. Inverters are available in most car accessory type shops - unless you're out camping already. Third party chargers are known to not charge original Oly batteries, or actually the other way round, original Oly batteries tend to not charge in third party chargers that don't provide secret spells over an extra pin.

Edit: Reading fail on my end right from the start, you clearly are already out.

I use a unipal 2 at home and it charges EM1 batteries just fine. Try moving the pins a tiny bit. It may be the 12v isn't enough to drive it. I'll have to check but I don't even know where my cable is right now.
