Some lens advice from you chaps more knowledgable than me would be appreciated.

I had a 10-24 with my D7000, with a 1.5 crop, that gave me the equivalent of 15-36 on FF.

What would suit me is a :43: lens of about 8mm.

The 7-14 is available from Amazon but at an eye watering £860, is there a cheaper way.

Olympus 9-18, or the Olympus 12mm, both expensive but both cheaper. The 9-18 is probably your best bet.
See the lens sample image threads for more info.

    9-18 over 7-14

For me, cost was a factor, but not the deciding one ....

I like having the ability to shoot FF 35mm with my wide zoom .... that's just at the wide edge of normal, and a nice option.

On the other hand, while some find the difference significant, for the way I shoot, there is less practical difference for me at the wide end.

Park cameras are normally pretty good for pricing but they have the 7-14 as £999, amazon have it for £860.

I was concerned that the one from Digiplus on Amamzon may have been 'grey'.

Park Cameras are an outfit that I have used many, many times.
OK, so one pays top dollar, but it's worth it for the service I've had in the past and peace of mind.
