I've had a G3 since May. In the last few months the arrow keys have stopped working for changing settings for ISO, WB, etc. while on the fly. The arrow keys work fine mechanically as they function properly during menu use. I have tried reseting the camera. The buttons work for a while then revert to the above state. I assume the problem relates to some custom setting that I've used but not sure what. Any thoughts?

Have you tried to flash new body firmware? There is v1.2 out for G3

Edit: Buttons like ISO or WB are not working in Auto modes (iA, SCN, ...)!

If you assign the buttons to focal point movement, it disables all the ISO/WB/drive mode/autofocus mode "shortcuts".

It's in the Custom menu, page 3, "Direct Focus Area". Should be "OFF" to use the shortcut buttons.

Thank you so much. I'm only a new G3 owner and I must have turned it on when playing around with the settings. Been wondering why none of my buttons have been working as they should the last couple of weeks. Been tearing my hair out

Yeah, funny they name it "direct focus area" to make it sound like something important you want, when it's not LOL
