    I'm doing panoramas and virtual tours of our restaurants, and my E-P5 and OM-D E-M1 don't fit my Gigapan Epic. I was hoping the E-PL5 might, so I get higher resolution than my E-P2. Can anyone tell me dimensions of center of tripod hole to left end of camera and lens center to left end of camera as shown? ? I'd like to buy during this refurb sale.

    guide.

    Anyone want to trade (assuming it fits) a black E-PL5 for an E-P3 AND E-P2? Both are like new.

    Thanks!

    Not sure if they're quite the ones you mean but tripod to camera mounting screws are normally 1/4-20.
    Some larger ones are 3/8" (often securing the head to the tripod), however some tripod heads are held on with M6 machine screws.
    AFAIK these are the only standard sizes in use for photography tripods.

    That's a standard. I need camera width, from the center of that tripod socket to the left end of the camera (lens facing away from you) to see if it will fit on the bracket. Same dimension to the right may also be helpful.

    Each camera, even those from the same manufacturer will be different. Some cameras have the mount centred with the lens, some have it offset. There is no standard where to place the tripod mount on the camera.

    My EPL5 is 110.5 mm wide. 52.5 mm from center of tripod hole to left side.

    Okay, let's try this again... can someone please measure THEIR E-PL5, on the bottom, from the center of the tripod hole to the end of the camera as shown?

    Thanks Harry! I saw this after I posted the pic. Can I ask for one more?

    You can always go to a camera shop and get these measurements on as many different camera bodies as you like. You may even be able to do that at the camera department at Best Buy.

    Yoo da MAN Harry! Thanks!

    My E-P2 BARELY fits, and "B" is 50mm, so this helps. How about "A"? Do you mind?

    From Harry's previous answers
    A = 52.5mm
    B = ~44mm

    Thanks!! The E-P2 is

    A = 63mm
    B = 50mm

    So it looks like the E-PL5 should fit nicely. Thanks everyone!!

    Off to buy another body...
