Hey mu-43'ers. I thought I'd like to throw in some imagery as well, haven't contribbed a lot. This was captured during the Eclipse 2012 festival in Cairns, Queensland, Australia. This is a trance/house/progressive/dub/reggae festival by the way, celebrating the total solar eclipse. :)

The Solar Eclipse - although no corona pics, as it was fruitless without tele lens - but the atmosphere around the place was aweinspiring as well:

Most photos are JPEGS out of camera. Some (like the cowboy hat portrait, 5 girls in sunset) have had some Picasa effects added.

I've used a macro diopter (+10) on the 14-45 for the "Ants eating spider remains" photo.

Nice pics mate...they are so obviously Australian as to be unmistakeable. Love it.
Would've been a great festival to be at...base camp would've been an awesome place to just chill into the wee hours of the morning...no doubt, the doof-doof still thumping.
    Thanks for sharing.

Aussie as they come. Fantastic shots mate, would have been an awesome atmosphere (lol)

Love the one with the tents in the sand under the gum trees. Cant get much more fair dinkum than that aye.

Livnius: Yeah, I have to admit, Cairns/Australia has damn beautiful landscape, even though it was 35 centigrades. I can assure you there were plenty of chilling spaces, and 6 different stages to be entertained by. I couldn't have imagined a better sweetspot for that eclipse. :)

Haha, I actually had to look that expression, fair dinkum, up in the dictionary, some aussie slang I hadn't heard. Yeah, and that place was wicked dusty.

The Oly 45 was on it's maiden voyage with me btw. I really liked the results from it, although it was best handled in sunlight due to no optical stabilization. But the bokeh, contrast and sharpness hits the spot for me.

The 14-45 has really convinced me as well. Rubber ring didn't like the climate, almost came loose. But a good experience travelling with it.

The 20 mm, just delivers in low light as usual. :)

Finally got my LCD and Viewfinder calibrated nicely to stay in line with output on computer screen. If anybody want some settings, please ask. :)
