Ever since I first started on this forum I have been reading about the 20mm f1.7. I have the Olympus 17mm and liked it, but eventually decided I really wanted a faster lens. It was time to try the 20mm. It arrived yesterday and I am blown away:
    E-P1    ---    20mm    f/1.8    1/400s    ISO 200

    I took a walk around the neighborhood today . . .
    E-P1    ---    20mm    f/1.8    1/320s    ISO 200

    Stopped at the church . . .
    E-P1    ---    20mm    f/1.7    1/200s    ISO 200

Went to get my mail . . .
    E-P1    ---    20mm    f/1.7    1/80s    ISO 320

    Took a look around . . .
    E-P1    ---    20mm    f/1.8    1/800s    ISO 200

    and saw some interesting things.
    E-P1    ---    20mm    f/1.7    1/250s    ISO 200

    I love this lens!!
    E-P1    ---    20mm    f/1.7    1/1000s    ISO 200

I suspect this is all I'll be using on my E-P1 for a while.

  9. The 20mm didn't totally "wow" me at first compared to the 17mm, however once I'd used it to do some low light indoor shooting and saw how sharp it remained even wide-open I was sold. I also find the 20mm focal length very useful; more of a long wide rather than a short normal.

innit, though? The 20 was my favorite lens for a long time until I discovered the 7-14. Now I love the 45 macro. Does it ever end? no, no it does not. :)

Totally agree! The 20mm was my favorite M4/3 lens for a long time also, until I started using the M4/3 trinity of 12, 25 and 45. Now it hardly ever comes out of the cabinet, and I am already being very tempted to add the 7-14 to my collection, and eagerly awaiting for the new 60mm macro and 75 f/1.8...
