Well sold off all my Nikon gear a month ago in anticipation of the om-d being released early April, obviously this hasn't happened. In the meantime I have been acquiring lenses while waiting, one of my pickups was a Good condition Canon FD 300mm F4L. Only issue with was a decent sized spec on one of the inner elements, seller had it checked at a camera store as he was worried it was fungus. They said it was probably just a piece of felt that lines the inside of the lens.

Well with my spare time I decided to do some light cleaning.......

Turned out just a piece of fluff. Surprisingly simple to take apart I was able to clean all surfaces except between the 2nd and 3rd element and now it looks as good as new optically. At least some good came from this waiting....
