Been wondering about adding a 3-way toggle for a shutter release button. Haven't seen it tried anywhere yet.

Advantage would be to assign maybe a +1.5, normal, and -1.5 EV given the direction of the toggle and pressing it. Maybe normal center and press down as with a normal release, but adding some side-to-side toggle release that could alter exposure to whatever one likes, that and maybe assign one side for a B&W and other side for a Vivid, Etc. Olympus seems big into assigning things deep in their menu.

Going into the SCP is slow and pressing the ISO and changing EV via it and a dial are are even slower. Spinning a dial (Shutter or Aperture) before hitting the shutter is slow too. A three-way toggle should be faster with birds that dart into the dark brush and I have to spin some dials to maybe add couple more EV for camera or flash. Could be useful in studio for flash as well given the dark or light scene, clothing, etc.

Thoughts before I bug Olympus?
