At around 1:30 pm it was nice and sunny, so we decide to take a ride towards Salem again. 5 minutes into the trip, heavy rain/light snow was coming down, but knowing how the weather is in Oregon, we kept driving. We were glad we did.

Some of these are really nice and some are way over processed for my personal taste. But to each his own right :)

    Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for taking the time to reply. Much appreciated. Sometimes I like to play around (over process to my liking) with images if I have several versions.:2thumbs:

I completely understand. That's the best way to learn what you like and what you don't.

    totally agree
but then again, i am the king of over processing, haha!

mainly i wonder why the black cows arent black :)
and then the chair in the leaves, was a bit too harsh with the... clarity?... all those leaf edges were a bit overpowering.

looks like a super pretty day for photos tho!

PS: the group cows were taken from inside the car and the windshield wasn't exactly clean.

  9. Very nice travelogue. I realy like the contrast of #4 where the stand of trees is level but the ground in front is rolling. The combination of light and shade in #3 is also great.

Just a technical point since the exif data says that you are using Lightroom 4: Have you ever tried using the tools in the Lens Correction -> Color tab? Some Panasonic lenses show very noticable purple fringing in areas of high contrast when used on an Olympus and particularly with the current 16MP sensor. The color correction tools in Lightroom 4 are very effective at removing this. Just as an example, the image below is one where the purple fringing could be removed from around the cow's heads and the leaves/branches in the trees.

I quite like no. 3 but as you are already PP, why not crop out the houses on top of the picture
