September 5th 2002 I got the news by phone that I had "no evidence of disease". It's referred to as "Dancing with NED" (No Evidence of Disease). On September 05th 2012 I will have reached the 10 year mark and I can stop the annual invasive test that I need to go through (cyctscopy). This year mine is set for October 15th...and yes it really does fit through that little hole and no it's not that painful (then again I've endured about 25 or 30 over the past nine years so I probably have developed a tolerance for it.). It stings a might afterwards though.

Everyday is a good day...today is just a bit better than some, and I thank God and everyone that stood by me and helped me get here. Now it's time for pizza.

I'm pretty sure rainbowimaging has a cystoscope to m43 adapter but there it doesn't have focus confirmation. That's hilarious...I'd hadn't noticed it in the picture but yes it IS an Olympus scope they use on me. One year I got to see it "live" on a couple of video monitors. FWIW the inside of your bladder looks like Tyvec.

Thanks for all the kind words...it feels very good. I spent the day gardening and working hard and to be able to do that...or ride my bike, hug my son, kiss my wife, take pictures or even go to the bathroom is a glorious gift).

I've had one of those procedures as well. I wince just thinking about it.
Anybody that can handle 25 or more is obviously too stubborn to relapse.
    Keep up the good work!

Congratulations Kevin and thanks so much for the perspective check. I don't want to have to go through what you have to fully appreciate life (and I think I appreciate it an awful lot, every day), but there's a part of me that thinks it must feel somehow richer for someone who's had to confront having it taken away so intimately. I'm happy for you - keep savoring every minute!
