is there any way to do time lapse video with GF1, do I need dedicated software, and can the camera be set up to take pictures at pre selected intervals , like every 30 seconds
Not a Panasonic user myself, but when I was looking at remote releases for my E-P2, there seemed to be a few available with time-lapse type functions built in (for a price) ... might be worth googling or searching eBay
I have an eBay timer/remote release that you can program for a series of stills. You will then need software to convert the stills to video. The camera will not do this itself.
When I looked the add-on timer was the only option currently available.
Once you have the stills there are lots of free apps (e.g. Windows Movie Maker) and paid (e.g. Adobe Premiere Elements)that can be used to make a video.
I'm an E-PL1 Owner and I fear I'm out of luck.
I found this device: the PClix. But It lists all Olympus m43 cams except mine.
To make matters worse I sold my old DMC-FZ50 a few months back.
