    Hi all,

At the end of this September it will have been three years since I have had my GF1. Through that time it has always been at my side, and I couldn't even guess at how many pictures I have taken with it.

To commemorate this milestone I thought that I would share some of my favourite pics I've taken over that time. Some of the long time forum members may have followed my blog so have seen some of them before, but if you haven't I hope you enjoy!

I decided to separate them into different categories (landscape, people, travel, etc.) and will be adding a different category to this thread every couple of days. Landscape is my favourite genre so I will start off with that!

Thanks guys! After taking thousands of pics it wasn't too hard to scrape together some nice shots :$.

@tdekany, most of these were taken with the original 14-45mm panasonic lens, however the 20mm might have been used for a couple.

I didn't do too much PP, just boosted the black point and maybe the saturation a touch. Luckily most of these pics were taken during the "golden hours" just before dawn and dusk so the colours and definition came out nicely. White balance was done in camera.

@danska, unfortunately my flickr page is a mess right now :$. I've neglected it for far too long. I just bought a pro account for the back-up storage, so have been trying to get it into shape today.

Great stuff, thanks for sharing. That shot of Elk Lake might be the clearest reflection and smoothest water I've ever seen. Gorgeous!

The GF1 seems to have been largely forgotten in the rush of newer m4/3 cameras since but I've heard great things about it since it was released. For good reason, judging by some of the great pics I've seen produced with one, these included

What a wonderful set of images that show the capability of the GF1 + 14-45.

I eventually parted company with mine in Dec last year after 2 years of faithful service and it was painful to do so but I replaced it with the GX1 after long deliberation.

I can now conclude that for me, as good and reliable as the GF1 was, the GX1 is a better camera in many ways and is a true replacement rather than the pretenders between GF1 - GX1.

The larger sensor pixel count does make a difference and I now have confidence in using Auto Iso for the first time on this format and am very pleased.

The GX1 ended up being my primary camera that I used on a trip to India this year and it did not let me down at all - I still have my original 14-45 that is a superb lens and have since subsidised that with the 25mm f1.4 (in lieue of 20mm I used to own) and the 45-175X lens that is proving a winner.

Here are my GX1 images from India for interested parties:

@Iansky, love your shots from India! The way you captured all the culture and people is admiral.

I was looking at the GX1. Great looking camera, and may be my next purchase.

    People - Full body shots

First off, thanks to everyone for the kind words! I really appreciate it!

For the next category, I chose "people". This is one area that the small system cameras really shine at. The GF1 with 20mm is so unassuming that it is easy to catch a candid full body shot of someone without offending them, or feeling like you are invading their privacy.

Taking pictures of people is definitely my weakest area, and something that I have struggled with over the past few years. Most of these pics were tken with the 20mm at close range.
