... but it finally warmed up here in MN, hit 45 today, about 50 degrees warmer than 2 days ago.

I'm not afraid of winter, I try to embrace it by getting out and running in it most days, but photography is another story. If it's below about 25F, my hands just get painfully cold and useless, making photography no fun and almost pointless. I have yet to find gloves thin enough to work a camera and thick enough to do any good on moderately cold days or worse.

Long story short, I celebrated today's warmth by getting out for a couple hours and walking around St. Paul and got a few decent photos. All with the GH2 + 14-140mm.

This one is my tribute to the Dark Tower books...

Some dark clouds rolled in behind the city so the contrast was nice..

I for one agree with you, this winter is indeed getting old. Two weeks ago we had 41F but then it shifted back again this last weekend it was -13F again.

I like your photos, nice, sharp and free of noise.

I took this with the EP-1 and the 20mm Lumix. 1/4 shutter speed. I have constricted myself to black and white for the time being. I shoot Jpeg + RAW and have Aperture set to use the Jpeg as master so I don't loose the EP-1s' B/W settings. The EP-1 really does have some nice B/W and other Jpeg settings. I've tried to reproduce the B/W settings of the EP-1 in Aperture using the RAW file and comparing it to the Jpeg as I work but so far with no luck. Back to the topic; Winter.
