Are there any "thinner" adapters for the M42 (Pentax screw mount) to the micro 4/3 adapter.

I purchased this one, and while the quality is excellent, the extended length really detracts from using longer lenses

I have a Leica M to micro 4/3 and it is considerably thinner.

Some call it the arm pit of NYC.
They are milled to a required specification. The M42 lenses were designed for a particular flange distance which is considerably longer than the M-mount lenses which were designed with a short flange distance as they were designed for rangefinders.

Conversely, it would be difficult to create an adapter for M-mount lenses to be mounted on SLRs because it isn't possible to obtain the short flange distance with the mirror box design.
