That's the kind of snowfall that if quiet enough you can hear it landing around you!

We've been very shy of snow this season. While the official count is average for the year, we have had a lot less near me. It comes, then it goes.

After a minor ice storm. Things were already thawing out but there's still some ice on the trees, path, and plants.

About five inches of snow falls on my town in a couple of hours. That can only mean one thing........time to jump in the 4x4 and go fetch an emergency bottle of milk.

We call it French Toast weather. It seems every snowfall people have to go out and get bread, eggs, and milk, so we always figured snowfall requires French Toast.

Wanted to try a different set-up for snowflakes pics.
Olympus 60mm macro lens + 10mm extension tube + Raynox 250 using in-camera focus stacking.
Sharpness is better, but I prefer my old set-up of bellows and reversed enlarger lens. seemed easier to work with.

Wow, what a set-up and beautiful images from that "snowflake" camera. I was feeling a bit down with yesterdays results but reading that article inspired me to get out there again. Practice makes perfect.
