Living in Western NY state, abundance of snow is normally not a problem. This winter, however, has been exceptionally mild by our standards. So today when I noticed some flakes starting to fall on a nice cold day I hurriedly grab my macro gear for some snowflake images. Didn't last long. Snow stopped and sun came out. These two were the best of the bunch.

Reversed Nikon 50mm enlarger lens, three extension tubes, and a PK - m4/3 lens adapter. Hand-held, captured in RAW, and PP'ed using PSE9, and Topaz software.

This wasn't shot or processed in B&W. it was just a B&W world that morning.

From last Saturday, a rare blizzard in Chattanooga, TN. The snow was gone by 6 PM the same day.

A fox stopped by and took a rest in the snow today. This does not look like the best place to hang out but what do I know.

Keep it coming, guys! As someone who lives in an area that has (1) no snow 😢 and (2) is under a hard lockdown order (very east of Germany), I am loving these winter images. At least I can pretend there's a white christmas *somewhere* 🎄

I'm in Southeast Michigan. If it makes you feel any better we don't have any snow either. We may get an inch or so for Christmas morning, but that'd be it.
