Following the closure of the Fremantle Prison as a prison various parts of it have been repurposed. The northern aspect of the prison, the former women’s section is now used for various purposes including at this time, a literature centre.

This is a mural on the end house in Starkey road in Coventry.
Back in the 70's the council were going to demolish the road and build a tower block. The residents thought otherwise and campaigned for the right to keep their homes. They won and painted the mural to commemorate their win.

Good for them.

We should all remember at all times that all the instruments of government are there to serve us all, not the other way around.

When necessary, we should use all legal methods to remind any and all levels of government of this simple reality.
