Thanks, but no, El Camino Real goes much closer to the coast in that part of California. Temecula is about 30 miles east the coast, where El Camino Real here is about 4 miles east of the coast. One more thing, El Camino Real is mostly throughout California a wide, modern roads - they were popular in the 1700s and they still are. You do not see much of this old California in big arteries like El Camino Real. Closest to it might be in San Clemente in Orange County, where it is a little more charming, but generally, to see old California you need to get to some of the older, smaller towns off the main roads.

I think this calls for further investigations Peter.
I reckon either the Male Voice Choir are using the Con Club building or they've moved elsewhere by now.
That invitation above the door is just too intriguing not to find out.

I think the choir share the Con club, but I couldn’t possibly join the choir to find out as my singing voice would be enough to empty the room ????
