We were at Tallinn for a weekend and I thought to share some of the photos I took. Here are some facts about Tallinn from Wikipedia (sorry, I'm feeling lazy ): "Tallinn is the capital and largest city of Estonia. It occupies an area of 159.2 km2 with a population of 418,582. It is situated on the northern coast of the country, on the shore of the Gulf of Finland, 80 km south of Helsinki, east of Stockholm and west of Saint Petersburg. Tallinn's Old Town is in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It is ranked as a global city and has been listed among the top 10 digital cities in the world. The city was a European Capital of Culture for 2011, along with Turku, Finland. Tallinn is the oldest capital city in Northern Europe. The city was known as Reval from the 13th century until 1917." Tallinn has a beautiful medieval old town and many great restaurants and those two reasons were the main theme for our trip from Finland to Estonia. It was my first time to visit Tallinn after Estonia joined the Euro currency and I think the prices have gone up a lot since the last time! Well atleast the booze is still waaaay cheaper than in Finland and that brings us Finns to Estonia in thousands every day . All photos were taken with the E-P1 and Samyang 7.5mm, P14, P20, O45 and O40-150. Shot as RAW and PP in Lightroom 4. From the Ferry (m/s Superstar) Restaurant Korsaar's toilet... ...and the smoking room. Smoking kills... ..the food was much less lethal at Korsaar There is the St. Olaf's Church from 12th century. They said it was the tallest building in the world back then. I'm calling to KGB headquarters. This was at the KGB museum. Soviet style spy camera!
