What more can be said about the super combo of the EM1 and the 12-40mm 2.8 Pro that hasnt already been said. I know, its one of the best all purpose walk-around combos ever. I started shooting with the EM1 and the M43 systems in general about a year ago. I had been using Canon DSLR gear for the better part of 14 years and when I purchased the Canon 20D my love for the Canon DSLR's grew. When I moved to Miami in 2006 I was using the 20D and the 24-70 f2.8 L. A legendary zoom fit for all types of applications and photography types. Now the EM1/12-40 combo is definitely one of the biggest, size wise, combos in the MFT world but to me its still nothing compared to my old DSLR setup. Though, over time, I have gotten so used to lenses being so small in the MFT world that even I have gotten picky with lenses and bodies getting too 'bulky'. But shooting in South Beach again brought back those painful memories of lugging my big DSLR rig for hours on end with a sore neck and shoulder, and this experience once again breathed new appreciation for MFT and all it has to offer. My size vs quality vs value calculator has been re-aligned and I am happier for it. Below are my favs from the day. I have been in a b&w mood so this is what I have to offer.
