I think these qualify for this thread, as the "pond" was formed to assist/control the flow of water to the former woollen mill further downstream, sadly, no longer in existence.
It's now a tranquil spot for picnics and such-like.

Had to take a detour this morning on my work drive. They say the detour may last until October. The road looks like a promising mine for rural images, so I expect tp post more in this vein. This was a quickie I caught while cars behind me were blowing their horns. Quite a diverse cacophony erupted. Didn't sound anything like roosters so it kind of broke the mood. (Apparently commuters don't get the laid back country lifestyle)
The detour on the drive to work today produced these...
A young Eagle

and a family of fake bears...

The back story is that I saw the bears the other day, but when I drove by it was just before dawn and the light was terrible. I made a mental note where they were and then promised myself to get an image if I went by again later in the morning with better light, which I did today. When I pulled over I noticed a stump in the middle of the field but the top of it was moving. That part of the stump turned out to be the immature Eagle. So today turned out to be a twofer, as they say.
