I saw this guy standing under some dramatic lighting. As I walked around a column to get closer for a shot, he also moved closer to me than I expected. I was able to snap this shot but would've preferred a wider framing.

The Great Gate - Hampton Court Palace - UK2016-148
by Andrew Priest, on Flickr

Hampton Court Palace is a royal palace in the borough of Richmond upon Thames, south-west and upstream of central London on the River Thames. The building of the palace began in 1515 for Cardinal Thomas Wolsey, a favourite of King Henry VIII. In 1529, as Wolsey fell from favour, the cardinal gave the palace to the King to check his disgrace; Henry VIII later enlarged it. Along with St James's Palace, it is one of only two surviving palaces out of the many owned by King Henry VIII.

Went back to shoot this scene again but this time with someone facing and being lit by the window.

We had some snow two days ago and I have been long waiting for it.
For me its something magical.
I researched how to photograph it and
had everything standing ready for it to come down :)
Turned out to be pretty hard :)
I wanted to freeze to snowflakes and needed 1/500 s for it.
Problem was with a total lockdown and no shops
or restaurants open there was not much light.
So I had to up my Iso ALOT and lost some details :(
I did the best I could out there and had a super time.
That feeling will last me a few weeks :)

A fast grab shot as we were leaving a restaurant with some take-out food. Some strong cropping was required due to the distance and FoV.

I ran into a small group of skateboarders at the bicycle tunnel on my snow adventure :)

Ever tried the faux digital teleconverters in the V?
No. Partly because I didn't know it had any. :) But mostly because I always post process so if I want to crop in, I'll do it then. Also, lots of times I just don't have time to do anything except grab the shot.
