While the world seemingly goes mad, what with Covid and the American election,
England's smallest city of Wells, goes quietly about its business.

In addition to great subject selection and framing, I really like your consistent "look". Do you use certain settings in the camera that lend to this or perhaps some insight into your post processing routine?
Thanks. I think it'd be pretty easy to get the same look because [sheepish grin] I'm using an off-the-shelf preset to get me most of the way there. I love the colour of Ricoh and Fuji cameras but was unable replicate the look. Fortunately, one of the Youtubers I follow (Samuel L Streetlife) sells a set of Lightroom presets that he made to emulate the look of his Ricoh's jpg files and when I discovered this, they just happened to be on sale. You can find them here: https://www.lintaro.de/shop/presets/

The pack includes multiple flavours of colour and b&w presets. I usually use the 2nd or 3rd colour presets. In that shoe store photo, after applying the preset (#1 in that instance), I also adjusted the exposure, shadows, clarity and texture. Normally with colour images I don't adjust the clarity but that image benefited from it. The presets tend to shift reds more to an orange hue so sometimes I'll use the HSL / Color sliders to bring reds back to normal if they're important to the scene. For landscape and nature subjects, I usually skip the presets and work from the default profile because I think the presets for my street stuff desaturate too much of the colour and also shift the greens to an unnatural colour. I don't mind that for the odd bit of greenery in an urban setting but it doesn't look right to me in a nature shot.

For b&w, I don't use presets. I typically use a mid- or strong-curve adjustment and hit the texture and clarity fairly hard. Shadows and black levels often get turned down, too.

Oh, and it probably goes without saying but I shoot raw files.

In terms of camera settings, I usually just leave the camera on matrix metering (or whatever Panasonic calls their version of it) but often times will underexpose by 1 or 2 stops if I'm trying to crush the shadows.

At the moment we are back into a lockdown
and many places are closed.
This small restaurant changed over to take away.
They had a small table outside where you wait for your order.
What caught my eye in this photo is the lovely lamp inside
and the bottle on the table in the light.
