As much as I'd like to have the OMD EM-5, my cash is instead being saved for the upcoming M. Zuiko 75mm ƒ1.8

Mike Johnson's an interesting guy to read. TOP is certainly my favorite photo-related blog these days. Given his experience with the GF1 and OM-4, I'm not too surprised that he's going for the E-M5. Hope that doesn't mean Olympus is headed the way of Contax and Minolta though...

I can't afford the OMD, but I will follow the continuing updates of fellows and gals experience with it, in anticipation of lowering prices and improved (I hope) financial status. It seams that Olympus has finally come as close as is likely to producing my dream digital camera. Namely a digital OM 1,2,3,4.

Like you, I am living vicariously through everyone's experience with their new E-M5s. Had one on pre-order but cancelled to use the money on a refurbished Oly 45mm 1.8 and a brand new E-P2 body for $225 instead.

Just like my Pentax K-5, the E-m5 is by all appearances excellent enough that it is hard to see beyond the horizon for cameras in general. Sure there will be incremental improvements and gadgetry added here and there, but what is left to improve at this point? I am looking forward to the e-m5 very much!
