It’s a love-in! So here’s your chance. A single repository for all the things that are right with m4/3.

Not everyone’s going to agree. What you hate I may love. But there will be absolutely no negativity at all allowed in this thread. It’s not a discussion or a debate. It’s a love fest, pure and simple. The rose coloured glasses are on. Have some fun with it. Think of something in m4/3 that makes you smile and let’s hear it. It’s positive all the way. Unless you say something technically wrong ( a feature you say a camera has when it doesn’t, for example). If you’ve got something negative to say save it for somewhere else like this thread..

I’ll start. After all it’s my thread...

    1. I’ll carry a m4/3 camera nearly everywhere. I’d never do that with a DSLR.
    2. Live view is simply brilliant. And implemented well on m4/3.
3 The EVF on the GH-2 makes focusing in low light a breeze compared to an optical finder. It actually feels weird looking through a regular DSLR viewfinder.
    4. My Pens are just simply beautiful cameras.
    5. Touch screens and especially touch focus has changed the way I shoot.
    6. I can focus with the same accuracy and speed anywhere on the sensor.
    7. My back is thanking me every time I pick up my camera bag.
    8. I have a wide selection of lenses from both Panasonic and Olympus.
    9. The system is growing rapidly.
    10. Thousands of great manual focus lenses are useful again.

    11. I don't have to worry about somebody stealing my camera. Lumix????

    12. I can bring my film camera along and use its lenses on both cameras.

    13. My E-P1 and 3 lenses plus the usual stuff fit in a Billingham Airline pouch!

    14. I can shoot my E-P1 on centre focus and reframe with an ovf just like I'm used to with rangefinders.

    15. I can carry a camera body and two OTHER lenses (3 total) without a camera bag. One on the camera, two in (jacket) pockets.

    16. I love sitting my EP1 next to my 1970s Canonet fixed lens rangefinder. The EP1 is smaller :)

    17. I love seeing exactly what I'm about to shoot, and seeing the DOF effect, and controlling it. Exposure too.

    18. No front focusing copies or micro adjustments. The focus just plain works.

    19. AF is able to lock in extraordinarily low light with some of our cameras. Better than any of my DSLRs in this regard.

    20. All of our primes were designed to be sharp with pleasing bokeh.

    21. Touch AF takes the guesswork out of focusing.

    22. Face detection allows intelligent metering - no fussing with exposure compensation or spot metering to get well exposed faces in changing light conditions.

    23. System built from the ground up for convergence of still and video.

DSLRs are ugly and make you like a soccer mom pretending to be a photographer. Micro 43 cams are sexy and sophisticated and make you look like you appreciate fine art and photography and are willing to work with primitive equipment in the pursuit of a great shot.

Mu43 is allowing me to find my own enthusiasts 'sweet spot' between P&S (poor IQ & limited capability) and DSLR (pricey and large/heavy gear).

    41. Good talking piece with friends about cameras. DSLRs are "been there, done that" but few people (at least in the states) know mirrorless, so you're bringing them something new to share!

    43. mu-43.com (related to Gary's post above) -- really. don't underestimate the power of a good, supportive enthusiast site to keeping people in a certain product. Oly and Panny should be paying Amin!

    44. That I can fit a machine capable of creating phenomenal quality images in my pocket.

    45. (Y'all are going to judge me for this one!) That I can compose shots using Dramatic Art Filter so it's part of the image rather than an afterthought.

    46. (Y'all are going to hate me for this one.) That I can use a high-quality camera that's NOT meant to be used with a viewfinder!!!!
