The new BM 6K camera, and the road to true hybred cameras (Gh6)

I just upgraded my software to a version that does 8K. I've been using my G9 to do 6K wildlife (allows for good 4K cropping and of course amazing 1080P). Yesterday BM introduces a 6K camera for $2500 US with a larger sensor and uses EF lenses. We have the rumor of a new Panasonic sensor that will be a global sensor. I think the Gh6 could be either 6K or 8K and either of those if shot in a RAW format would make the Gh6 a killer still/video camera. Due to a recent medical issue, I got rid of my 28" monitor and went with a 50" 4K TV (match its color to a series of images I printed for tuning the TV). I don't know when the Gh6 will come out, but in the next couple of years I will add the 10 to 25 f1.7 zoom and a video body (most likely the Gh6) to "complete my system" for a while. I am so amazed by what the G9 and the EM1 series offer that I've not been tempted by any of new full frame cameras or even the BM 6K camera. If I were in high school or college today, I would be seriously thinking about becoming a documentary film maker.

Can Panasonic or Sony get m43 to 8K with a global shutter? 32 mpx would surely make for high pixel density but it would certainly bring the world of stills and video to a point of where one camera really does it all.

While the price points on the top of the line stuff is rising, when you consider the price/performance ratio, IMHO it is amazing.
