    very powerful gritty images, they do tend to concentrate on what appears to be the "deprived" and this makes them even stronger as the faces reflect the challenges they face in life.

    Thanks for posting! I love the series as a coherent vision. Someone wrote in the comments "nice capture." I don't see these as captures -- they are images. Images that were created by the photographer/artist, as clearly there is a vision, a capture, and then quite a bit of vision in the post production (and skill). Thanks for posting, and bravo to the artist.

    I've been following this photographer a while on flicker. Many of their shots are truly outstanding. They are very stylized though and leathery skin and glassy eyes can be exaggerated to create an emotional response in viewer. I feel a little manipulated.

    whoever typed "nice capture" probably just has it on 'ctrl+v' and dumps it on every pic they like
