My favorite lens. It is only large compared to other :43: lenses. And besides, the new Nocticron makes it look tiny.

The lens has been living on my E-M5 since I got it in October. Never took it off. It does everything.

I was always a slow zoom guy shooting mostly landscapes. A couple of years ago with a daughter on the way I built up a prime collection, and I have quite a nice collection. Despite owning all those other juicy primes the 25/1.4 has been practically welded to my E-M5. Love that lens for so many reasons.

I still cry at the thought of not buying this lens when I saw it going for a stupidly low price on one of the forums. I consoled myself with the notion that when Olympus release their 25mm it will retail for far less than the Panasonic/Leica. Oh dear!

I'm heading to a conference tomorrow and that's the lens on my E-P3. It's probably my most used lens.

You know I'm just starting in m43 and I picked up the GM1 with the kit 12-32. I managed to trade some other equipment for a Pan 25 1.4 cause I figured its stellar reputation should make it interesting (and anyway, who could resist and 1.4 "nifty fifty" equiv.) You folks are making me think I should use it more . . .

Right now you can get a GX7 and 25mm lens for around $1450.00 in OZ, so why not get yourself a perfect combo all at once and get rid of that old olympus thing  :hiding:

PL25 is my most used lens. IMO, it's the best m43 lens for walkaround bar none:
    - minimal perspective distortion, great for family/portraits photography
    - great for low light
    - fast AF
    - f1.4 is great for subject isolation. While from close distance there is not much visible difference between f1.8 and f1.4. When shooting from a distance, it makes all the difference
    - vivid, saturated colors and strong contrast straight from f1.4. This contributes to the unique rendering. I rarely need to postprocess
-despite the size, it balances quite nicely on both E-PM2 and E-M10

Been there, thank God I did not sell the25!

Well, if the 12-35 is not an issue size-wise, you'll find the 25 smaller than you remember! And yes, it is really hard to pick between them befor going for a walk...

I think I bought this lens 3 times. Missed it each time I sold/traded it off. I am a slow learner.

Bhupinder's thread dashed all my prior thoughts of selling my PanLeica 25mm lens. I started to miss it before even selling it.

I currently possess only 14mm Panny and Zuiko 45mm as native glass and 8 canon FD's . This year i can only afford one camera related purchase and it will be either Panasonic 25mm (or maybe Zuiko 25mm) or Metabones speedbooster for the Canons.
    Tough decision.
