OK, it's gone a bit quiet, so here are some m4/3 b&w infrareds. GH3 720nm conversion, 12-60mm kit lens.

We took advantage of a rare sunny day last month to visit our local medieval walled town, Conwy, for a few photos. The castle and town walls were built in the late 13C, and here they are in IR:

Quayside Cottages, Conwy
The cottages are backed up against the old town wall, and the nearest is officially the smallest house in Great Britain.

The pics have had a little 'glow' added for something like the HIE film look. I used Nik Color Efex Pro 4, applying Glamour Glow in Lighten mode at about 50% opacity.

Wonderful to see these. In 1974 as a young Kiwi on my OE I spent a night in Conwy. Would love to go back sometime.

Good Evening,

The last time I did any IR work it was film-based, so this is a new rodeo for me. All done with Hoya R72 sitting in front of a G1 (3.3Mpix).

Taken on a cold January winter day with interesting looking clouds here in southern Oregon. I used my infrared-converted GX1 - with a Pergear 25mm (an inexpensive manual-focus only Chinese lens) at f/5.6---

G'day mcgillro!

Yep, it's a good place. I wouldn't mind another visit to Hawkes Bay, where hardly anything is older than 1930, but goodness knows when that'll happen.

From my IR modified (720nm) E-PM1 just purchased; color balanced off the snow. This is my waterfront access from my property for canoes & kayaks during the warmer months.

Regards,

Edd
