I agree with many of his points. The only thing that I don't necessarily agree with is that the author gives the impression (or at least me anyway) that GAS is specific to digital when this is certainly not the case. People have been lusting after better gear since forever in the photography game. Chasing that next camera/lens combo that will make their images look better. We just didn't have the internet to fuel the fire as much going back in time.

Overall though... in this day and age of chasing an even more 'perfect' IQ, it's a nice reminder that it's the imperfections in things - like film - that make something look perfect and us grown as photographers!

Certainly agree that GAS is not specific to digital.

Check the movie What About Me? for a nice description of The Hunger. What was his name gain, Eckhart Tolle?
